兵庫県生まれ。山本六三に師事し、銅版画を学ぶ。近年は、コラージュ作品を写真製版した〈コラージュ・フォトプレート・グラヴュール〉を軸に、版画・コラージュ・オブジェを自在に行き来しながら、独自の表現を追求している。

森茉莉、山尾悠子、ジュリアン・グラックらの書籍挿画を手がけるほか、プライベート・プレスより、ポール・エリュアール『花と果実の紋章』、ラドヴァン・イヴシックの詩を付した『水の声』などの限定版画集を刊行。

Yoko Yamashita was born in Hyogo prefecture and began studying copperplate engraving under Mutsumi Yamamoto. Besides copper engravings, she does work using collage and objet d’art. Recently, she has expanded her methods, creating unique mixed media works with collage, copper engraving print and objet d’art, as well as creating copper engraving collages using a photo-engraving process called “gravures d’après reprographie de collages sur plaque photosensible” .
